Ken-Ichi is a co-founder of Liminal Energy. He has 20 years of experience in energy and strategy roles across renewable and thermal technologies.
Previously, Ken-Ichi was a co-founder of the Energy Storage Investment Fund at UBS Asset Management, where he led the acquisition, financing, and commercialization of ~1.5 GWh of stand-alone energy storage projects. Prior to UBS, he launched the energy storage group for Geronimo Energy (subsequently National Grid Renewables), developing a 2+ GW pipeline and commercializing its first energy storage project. Earlier in his career at Enovation Partners, he built the analytics for the first version of Lazard’s Levelized Cost of Storage study.
Ken-Ichi holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA from the University of Pennsylvania.
