Jay leads asset management at Liminal Energy. He has nearly 20 years of experience operating, optimizing, and managing power generation and energy storage assets across merchant and contracted markets.
Previously, Jay was part of the Energy Storage Investment Fund at UBS Asset Management, where he oversaw asset management for a build-own-operate portfolio of ~1.5 GWh of stand-alone energy storage projects. Prior to UBS, he was Senior Director of Asset Management at National Grid Renewables, and earlier served as Senior Analyst, Power Generation Asset Strategy at Pacific Gas and Electric, supporting a ~7.5 GW renewable, thermal, and nuclear fleet. Jay began his career at Eastern Generation, where over 11 years he advanced from performance engineer to Director of Performance for a ~5 GW portfolio of NYISO and PJM generating assets.
Jay holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
