David Olmos

As Sr. Director of Energy Storage at BrightNight, David Olmos leads strategy and execution for energy storage projects to reduce risks and maximize value of their assets. BrightNight designs, develops, and operates large-scale energy and infrastructure sites that integrate battery energy storage, utility-scale renewables, advanced gas generation, and power-optimized hubs for digital infrastructure.

Prior to Brightnight, David served in engineering, operations and business development roles at Avantus, Tesla, and Collins Aerospace. David earned a B.S. and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from UC Berkeley where he fostered his passion for renewable energy through designing wind turbines & maintaining solar systems with blueEnergy,  R&D in flywheel energy storage and research in demand response.
