Daniel Clark
Dan is the Director of BESS Safety & Standards at Terra-Gen where he supports all phases of a project, from battery supply agreements through ongoing operations, to ensure Terra-Gen projects are designed, built, and maintained to the latest safety best practices and standards. He started his career in 2009 as an electrical engineer designing fossil generation plants but quickly shifted into the renewable energy industry. Around 2015 he began working exclusively on BESS projects, and in 2019, while working at Arizona Public Service, the McMicken battery system exploded, injuring four firefighters. Since that event, Dan developed new battery safety standards for APS before moving to Terra-Gen, and he has been an ongoing participant in the development of NFPA 855.
