Akhil provides leadership for Vitis Energy’s commercial and commodity market activities, and oversees the company’s newly established Asset Management function supporting the launch of its BESS portfolio into commercial operations. He is a proven leader in the energy sector with expertise in clean energy strategy, renewable origination, asset management, and financial oversight. Prior to Vitis, Akhil managed a 1.5 GW operating fleet of wind, solar thermal, and battery storage assets at NextEra Energy spanning Canada, CAISO, and Spain. He has supported over 1 GW of utility-scale wind, solar, and storage development across the US, Canada, and EU, and is skilled in greenfield development, M&A support, and aligning business strategies with evolving policies and market opportunities.
