Jorge Cabal Alonso

Jorge Cabal is an accomplished energy sector executive with over 25 years of experience leading complex projects, international expansion and driving innovation. Starting as a trainee at EDP, Jorge quickly advanced through roles in project engineering and management, notably coordinating the technical design and construction of major energy facilities around the world.

At Naturgy, Jorge held pivotal positions including Director of Innovation, and Director for Southeast Asia, where he spearheaded the company’s expansion into Singapore and Indonesia. As Senior Vice President of Project Management in US, Jorge has been instrumental in executing business strategies, establishing strategic alliances, and overseeing a pipeline that delivered 3 GW of new developments and 1 GW of operational projects in the last 5 challenging years, with 1.5 GW successfully sold at NTP.

Jorge holds an engineering specialization in energy, a Master’s in Renewable Energy, and an Executive MBA from IE. He is recognized for his leadership in team and budget management, adaptability, results orientation, and effectiveness. Outside of work, Jorge is passionate about nature, sports, and healthy living.
