Lynn Appollis-Laurent

Lynn boasts more than 20 years of in-depth experience in the power, utility, and renewable energy industries. Her leadership in senior roles within transmission power grid operations and asset management at South Africa’s largest power utility, along with her pivotal contributions to the successful deployment and operation of large-scale battery energy storage systems while working with an EPC and system integrator in the US, demonstrate her invaluable expertise and strategic insights in the field. In 2021, Lynn joined Natural Power, a globally renowned independent renewable energy consultancy and service provider. Her role as an energy storage expert involved leading the company’s technical and due diligence advisory services for energy storage projects, from early development to operational stages across a diverse range of applications, covering utility, C&I, and residential engagements. Additionally, she has provided valuable expertise as a technical advisor to facilitate the financing of multiple energy storage projects, including significant platform acquisitions and investments in complex US markets.  In 2024, Lynn became a valuable addition to Camelot Energy Group, a strategic and technical advisory consultancy serving the clean energy industry, offering her extensive knowledge and skills to effectively support clients in developing, constructing, commissioning, and owning clean energy assets. Under her leadership, Lynn has produced significant efficiencies and sustainable performance in the related areas under her leadership. Lynn’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
