John McNamara is the Senior Director of Structured Contracts at Clean Power Alliance (CPA), the nation’s leading green power provider and California’s largest Community Choice Aggregator. In this role, he oversees the procurement of long-term energy resources that support CPA’s growing and diverse energy portfolio. John leads the team responsible for the origination, negotiation, and management of long-term power purchase agreements, as well as the development and administration of competitive energy solicitations.
With more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, John has held strategic positions in energy procurement, portfolio management, and risk management for both load-serving entities and financial institutions. His expertise includes contract structuring, market strategy, and portfolio optimization, helping to advance California’s clean energy transition.
John earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida.
